It may not quite be on the level of the world record (for a defender) £75 million transfer of Virgil van Dijk to Anfield, but according to Italian newspaper is rather dubious reliability Tuttosport, Juventus have slapped a €60 million price tag on left wing-back Alex Sandro. The Brazilian is currently drawing interest from Chelsea, as well as Manchester “ALL THE WINGBACKS” City and Manchester “£300m is not enough” United.

Back in the summer transfer window, reports claimed that Juventus had refused approaches upwards of €80 million for the player from Chelsea. Since then, Sandro has fallen a bit out of form and a bit out of love with Juventus, so apparently they are willing to let him go — at a “discount”, even! — provided that they’re able to secure a replacement. AS Roma’s Emerson and Manchester United’s Darmian have been named as potential replacements for the world class 26-year-old.

Considering Chelsea’s general aversion to doing big deals in January ever since the Torres fiasco, this is surely nothing more than just a bit of rumor mill churn. That said, having both Marcos Alonso and Alex Sandro as options for the left flank would be pretty fantastic and would set up Chelsea very nicely for the second half of the season.
