Paris Saint-Germain want Antonio Conte as potential Unai Emery replacement — report

Despite the earth-shaking additions of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, or perhaps precisely because of them, things have not gone smoothly over at Parc des Princes even as PSG have literally not lost a single game all season either in Ligue 1 or the Champions League (15 wins and 2 draws in total).

Personality clashes between Neymar and the forever overshadowed in Paris Edinson Cavani almost came to public blows over penalty and free kick duties, and have drawn into question manager Unai Emery’s ability to handle all his big stars. Emery himself is rumored to be not on great terms with Neymar, who is also in a similar situation with his national team coach, Tite (although the pair of them moved to dissuade any such notions with a very public and emotional show of respect after Brazil’s 3-1 win over Japan).

The common thread is obviously Neymar here (who may or may not be happy at PSG), but when the club spend €222m on you, they are likely to ensure that you get whatever your little heart desires. With that in mind, along with Emery's contract expiring at the end of this season, the search for PSG’s next manager has apparently begun. Rumors of José Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino have already made the rounds and now, as rumored by Le Parisien, are joined by Antonio Conte.

According to the French newspaper, PSG have already gotten in touch with Conte's entourage over the possibility of a summer move, especially if Emery fails to meet expectations, which include a deep run in the Champions League.

As one would expect, PSG denied these rumours when contacted for comment by Le Parisien, but they have already showed just how limitless their ambitions are with last summer’s spending spree. We can be certain that Conte's cellphone will be buzzing, especially as rumors of his own future at Chelsea are subject to constant speculation already.

Brace yourselves.
