Tonight’s Michy Batshuayi update involves Sky Sports taking the previous rumors from Italy — namely that Chelsea might be interested in Llorente, possibly sending Batshuayi the other way on loan — and sprinkling in a bit of “Spanish football expert” Guillem Balague, who reveals that Chelsea want to sign Llorente “for sure”.
And yet, “Sky sources understand” that no contact’s actually been made between Chelsea and Swansea City. Seems an odd way to go about making a deal, not making any contact, but we can’t all be Ed Woodwards.
More on Llorente. No contacts yet but... Conte wants him for sure. CFC plans to send some players on loan and Llorente to fill a gap if so pic.twitter.com/JNr5KCuA8d— Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) January 8, 2017
As usual, when asked about transfer rumors, Conte simply stonewalled, though he also made sure to point out that he’s happy with the squad as is.
"I repeat always in the same, in this period - I don't like to talk about players of the other teams because it is not respectful to the player and for the team."

Michy Batshuayi finally earned his chance to start on Sunday, contributing with a goal, an assist, and generally good play in Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Peterborough United in the FA Cup. Was that enough to change whatever plans may have in store for him this month? We shall have to wait and see.
