Fenerbahçe centre back Simon Kjaer has impressed followers of the Turkish League with his showings this season. Although his team are only in fourth place in the Super Lig, Kjaer has been a staple in Fener's defence alongside former Liverpool player Martin Skrtel.
Kjaer's performances had even brought interest from Chelsea, with the Blues supposedly looking to add the 27-year-old’s services in the current transfer window. But following an official announcement made by Fenerbahçe earlier this month denying any such approach, Kjaer has now also publicly committed himself to the team. At least until the summer.
"These rumours are normal. They keep happening in every transfer window. I can confirm to you that I’ll not leave Fenerbahçe in this window. None of this news about me is true. I’ll stay as a Fenerbahçe player at least until the end of the season."

Although a winter transfer is not in the cards for Kjaer, he seems to be leaving the door open for a move next summer. But hopefully by then we will have better transfer targets in our sights...
