Silly Season's offseason is well underway, but some are still in the dressing room or out in full kit doing their warm-downs. Here's one such man, Sky Italia's Fabrizio Romano with the latest on a couple Chelsea rumors.
First, Martín Cáceres, who's too good to be out of contract at this point, unless of course he's not good anymore (or is simply broken once and for all).
NO confirms or updates at the moment about the name of Martin Caceres as Chelsea target. Conte is happy with the actual defense. #CFC

Chelsea's numbers in defense went from four to six on Transfer Deadline Day, so one would presume Conte's much happier with that situation now than a week ago. Not to mention, we've had our fill of Patos and Falcaos and other such veteran "help" to last us a lifetime; no need to add Cáceres to that list.
At the opposite end of the age spectrum is Brazilian youngster Thiago Maia, who was supposedly mulling over a move to Europe this summer only to eventually decide to stay put at Santos until at least the end of the season. Which is what Chelsea are counting on as well.
And Chelsea will insist for Thiago Maia (Santos) on January. Not easy but he is a target. #CFC #transfers

File that under future transfer news then, I suppose.
