Barely have we finally got to put the Diego Costa-to-Atlético Madrid rumors to bed, here come new rumors — somewhat expected, in fairness — linking the Chelsea striker to Napoli.
Napoli, flush with cash from the Gonzalo Higuain sale to Juventus, have already signed promising young forward Arkadiusz Milik from Ajax, but are still looking for reinforcements. According to Corriere dello Sport, the biggest newspaper in Southern Italy, Napoli have been chasing Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi, but now they could have another option thanks to Superagent Jorge Mendes looking out for Diego Costa and offering his client to Napoli (and Inter, too, for good measure).

The story is prefaced with an "if" in the shape of a Romelu Lukaku, that is, if Chelsea sign Lukaku, then Diego Costa would be looking to move. But considering that the end result of all the Lukaku rumors seems to have been just a new contract offer for the former Chelsea striker (good job, Mino Raiola!), that's probably a fairly large "if".
This whole situation is probably just more Silly Season nonsense we don't have to worry about.
