Official: Chelsea, Bristol City agree loan move for teenage striker

Tammy Abraham, a.k.a. Goal Machine (that's his superhero name) landed back in England a few hours ago alongside the rest of the traveling Chelsea squad, but unlike most of those guys, Tammy will not get to play for Chelsea just yet.  The 18-year-old joined Championship side Bristol City on season-long loan this morning.

It's a move that had been rumored for a while, but with Abraham busy with England U19 earlier in the summer and then traveling with the first-team for a couple weeks in America, he had to wait until just the day before the start of the 2016-17 Championship season.  Judging by the squad number given to him, he's set to play a decent role.

"Tammy is a top class player who I believe has a very bright future in the game."

"We're delighted that all of the club's hard work has paid off. He's one we've been chasing for a long time and we've remained patient to get this deal over the line in time for the new season."

"We're very grateful to Chelsea and (manager) Antonio Conte for allowing one of England's bright young talents to join us and we're now able to give him the chance to showcase himself in the Championship."

-Lee Johnson, head coach; source: Bristol City FC

Bristol finished 18th in their first season back in England's second tier last season.  They will be hoping Abraham can help them improve on that.

Best of luck, young one!
