Angelo Ogbonna may currently be wearing the colors of West Ham United, but he's on record from earlier this year in naming Antonio Conte as the "best manager he's worked with". Because of that, it's perhaps surprising that it's taken all the way until the final day for Chelsea to be linked with him, especially given the Blues' desperate need for defensive reinforcements.
Better late than never!

Di Marzio's report claims that Conte (and, in turn, Chelsea) would prefer Ogbonna over the likes of David Luiz, which makes some sense given that the current Chelsea manager worked with the 28-year-old big man at both Juventus and the Italian national team.
But coming this late in the transfer window, it would be very surprising if West Ham were convinced to sell, let alone to an in-league rival.
