On Tuesday, Torino FC completed the signing of veteran Italian center back Luca Rossettini opening the door for the departure of a certain Nikola Maksimovic.
The 24-year-old Maksimovic could be a key component to Chelsea's pursuit of potential defensive reinforcements, either as a direct signing or the domino piece who would then free up Kalidou Koulibaly for a move away from Napoli. Undoubtedly, both Chelsea and Napoli are keeping a close eye on this one, but as Gianluca Di Marzio posits, there could be complications in either case.

According to the oracle of the Italian market, Torino are reluctant to sell to another Serie A team (understandable), but Chelsea are not quite convinced about the downgrade from Koulibaly to Maksimovic (also understandable). Meanwhile, West Ham United are apparently poking around, too.
Somebody's bound to leave empty-handed from this cornucopia.
