After signing a new striker and a new midfielder, Chelsea are looking to add a defensive reinforcement as well. One of the names rumoured in this regard is 25-year-old Greek international Kostas Manolas, who joined AS Roma in 2014.
But according to Manolas' agent Ioannis Evangelopoulos, Chelsea aren't the only Premier League club interested in the center back, with both Manchesters supposedly in the hunt as well.
"The best clubs in Europe want him. There isn't just Manchester City, but also United and Chelsea. I haven't spoken with Roma for a while."

Despite everyone's best intentions to sign the centre back, Manolas could very well be set to stay put at Roma instead. Roma president Pallotta had already denied the rumor before, while, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma will be offering a new contract to the player by the end of the current transfer window, as the clause that forces the club to give 50% of Manolas' transfer fee to his former club Olympiakos will expire on September 1st. (This same clause is driving up any rumored transfer fee to well beyond reasonable amounts as well.)
It all sounds like the agent's just trying to ensure his client gets his fat new contract. Moving along...
