Back in April, Chelsea midfielder Kyle Scott made headlines in rather unfortunate circumstances. Only two months after renewing his contract with the club until 2019, the US youth international reportedly handed-in a transfer request, with an array of top European clubs interested in his services. Nothing more came of that at the time, but now it appears that Scott might move on, though whether that will be permanently or just on loan remains to be seen.
This weekend, he joined Eredivisie club Willem II on short-term trial.
"It's no secret that we are still looking for offensive reinforcements. We want to see this guy at work. He gets the next few days the chance to prove himself."
There's been no official word from Chelsea just yet, but we'll no doubt hear once the trial's done and a decision has been made.
Until then, best of luck to Scott in his Eredivisie adventure.
