The near-constant talk of a potential transfer move for AS Roma's Radja Nainggolan to Chelsea slowed down this week, as the narrative took a turn for the worse and all signs seemed to point towards any potential transaction being off the cards.
But here comes Nainggolan himself to reignite the blabber.
Radja Nainggolan confirmed that Roma & #CFC are still in talks. Added that he wouldn't be unhappy if he had to stay at Roma: 'We shall see."

Mixed messages to both Roma and Chelsea, and their fans, looks to be a Nainggolan specialty, who at this point is no doubt looking for the best outcome between a team sorely in need of a solution at his position, and a team who have just lost one of their key players in the midfield to a major competitive rival. It's probably a win-win for the Belgian midfielder (who scored a rather impressive goal on Wednesday against Sweden), and he's playing his hand accordingly, to maximize his winnings (Roma have recently offered to match the wages Chelsea were offering).
Perhaps the key takeaway from all this churn is that Chelsea aren't giving up in the hunt for a proper midfield solution, whether that be Nainggolan or someone else.
