In a somewhat interest twist, rumors about Chelsea goalkeepers looking to leave Stamford Bridge have largely died down ever since Guus Hiddink gave a surprise start to Asmir Begovic a few games ago and then Thibaut Courtois managed to get himself sent off (again) and suspended for a couple matches. That's not to say that the underlying situation has changed -- whatever that underlying situation may actually be -- just that the rumors have taken a backseat to other, more interesting stories (mostly concerning the youth).
But, Silly Season can only ignore a good vein for so long before tapping it again. So here's Southampton's Fraser Forster, who's been linked with a possible move to Chelsea should either Courtois or Begovic (but especially Courtois) pick up sticks and mosey on along this summer.
"I think [the Chelsea link] is a compliment in many ways because if you are being linked with teams then you are obviously doing the right things. [But] I have two years left on my contract at Southampton and I have loved my time here. I can't thank the club enough for the way they have stood by me when I was injured."
"I'm just concentrating on my day-to-day business here at the club and then hopefully I can have a good summer with England. Everybody knows that Joe [Hart] is the number one and he deserves that. He is a top keeper, but that's the challenge for the rest of us, to push him as hard as we can and try and put pressure on him."

I think we can safely rule out Forster then. He's not only happy at Saints, but feels indebted to the club for the way they treated him during his injury. Incidentally, one would think Courtois would be just as indebted to Chelsea for the way he was treated during his injury issues earlier this season. So there's nothing to worry about, right?
