Sky Sport Italia journalist Alessandro Alciato doesn't seem to tweet all that often about transfer rumors. Does that make him less reliable or more reliable when he does put a rumor out there? I could see arguments for both sides. In either case, here's his short little burst of presumably insider or insider-fed information.
Nainggolan sempre più vicino al Chelsea #mercato— Alessandro Alciato (@AAlciato) April 21, 2016
Roma's Radja Nainggolan and Chelsea are apparently getting "closer and closer", presumably in terms of a professional entanglement rather than, say, just a shoulder to cry on and talk over how bad your day has been.
This report does run contrary to the way the tide has shifted from initially positive rumors, to almost all negative vibes lately. Nainggolan himself had gone on Twitter to deny any rumors while the Roma brass are all adamant that they won't be losing any big stars and, if anything, will be buyers in this summer's market.
On the other hand, Alciato is presumably not just some ITK Twitter troll. He's putting his reputation on the line with this tweet. Will he go the way of Tancredi Palmeri or will he be more akin to Gianluca Di Marzio? The truth is out there, though only Silly Season itself knows the answer for sure .
