Another youngster has found his way out of Chelsea today -- but only for a short while. The Blues have announced that defender Alex Davey has joined Norwegian club Stabaek Fotball on loan until July.
This season Davey played for League One club Peterborough United from August last year to January, where he accumulated 10 appearances. He's now moving to Stabaek, a club located in Eastern Norway that plays in Tippeligaen, the country's top division. The 2016 Tippeligaen follows an odd schedule -- it started on March 11th, and will last until November 6th.
This kind of move might seem odd, since Norway isn't a common destination for young English players, even for Chelsea and their policy of sending players abroad with little to no reservations. Nevertheless, best of luck to Davey and his new club, and here's hoping that he can do well enough to get the playing time he needs.
