Hoffenheim defender Niklas Süle has been the subject of interest from several top clubs around Europe, including Chelsea, who even had an approach rejected last summer. But Süle's having another good season with the surprising Bundesliga outfit and the 21-year-old's list of admirer has thus only increased.
Fortunately for Chelsea, should we choose to continue to pursue the hulking, 6'5" center back, he apparently would prefer a Premier League move over all other moves. He didn't specifically reveal however whether he'd prefer to move or to simply stay put like in the summer.
"I know that [AC Milan and Inter Milan] have contacted my agent. But moving to Italy would make no sense for me. Milan and Inter have lost their magic. In the past they had great players. The name of both clubs carries a lot of weight, the city [of Milan] is beautiful, the fans are great... But the teams are declining."
"It would be a step backwards from the Bundesliga, also because both sides have long struggled to qualify to Europe. I’d rather play in the Premier League."

Since those quotes started making the rounds earlier this week, Hoffenheim's sporting director was inspired to swing into action as well and reveal that he has zero intentions of selling his highly rated youngster, especially in January.
"I can definitely exclude [letting Süle leaving next month]"

This of course has not stopped the likes of the Mail from linking Chelsea to a fresh £30m bid for Süle's services.
