We all have rather high hopes for Belgian wonderkid Charly Musonda Jr, currently on loan at La Liga side Real Betis Balompie where he had also spent the second half of last season.  He impressed greatly in those six months, so hopes were high that he would pick up where he had left off when his loan contract was extended by another twelve months.  Unfortunately, new coach and former Chelsea player Gus Poyet has preferred others so far this season.

"Our new coach relies mostly on experienced players and more using me right and left or in the center where I feel best. but I not complain. We do not judge a player on a small period of two or three months but on a full career. I'm still learning period. I remain calm and I continue my work."

The 19-year-old, who shall remain a teenager for just a little over a week, has played in all seven of Betis's matches, but started only once, when he set up the game's only goal, even.  Perhaps he should start more often, no?  Chelsea are keeping a close eye on things.

"There's feedback from people at Chelsea. but  I never had direct contact with Antonio Conte.  But the club remains attentive to the benefits of its players.  My dream is to improve and evolve.  I will continue my efforts to achieve the goal of [playing in] the Premier League."

Musonda signed a new contract last spring and is tied to Chelsea until 2019.  Plenty of time for him to achieve his dreams with the Blues.
