Tottenham Hotspur, who won't be landing central midfielder Axel Witsel, could make a late move for Chelsea forward Victor Moses. The Daily Mail are reporting that Spurs are attempting to make a deal for the Nigeria international, who was rumored to be close to joining West Ham United on loan, with an option for the Hammers to make the move permanent.
Goal has some numbers indicating where the holdup in a West Ham deal could be coming from, and shed some light on why the Blues have been rumored to be offering the player a contract extension, despite three times having failed to crack Jose Mourinho's first team squad.
I'd assume any move to Tottenham would be of the permanent variety, as the Blues aren't likely to do any favors for their neighbors to the north. This might be one of the situations in which England's transfer window being open for 24 hours longer than (most of) the rest of Europe really benefits the club, and helps them land a larger fee for a player after his suitors run out of other options.
