If Baba Rahman's transfer to Chelsea seemed to be one of the more drawn out affairs in recent memory, Pedro Rodriguez's move from FC Barcelona is exactly the opposite. On Wednesday, the Spanish forward arrived in London to take his medical with the Blues, and reports have begun to emerge indicating that he's now completed those exams.
Pedro Rodriguez traveled to London yesterday, according to RAC 1 [...] The player could close the deal in the next few hours after passing a medical examination in the UK capital yesterday afternoon.

If accurate, there probably isn't much standing in the way of Pedro's transfer, though as Tottenham fans will certainly attest, no deal is ever official until the player actually puts pen to paper. That said, it's looking very likely that we'll be seeing an announcement confirming Pedro's arrival relatively soon.
The transfer should also result in at least one Chelsea player heading away from Stamford Bridge, either on loan, or on a permanent basis. Juan Cuadrado would certainly seem the most likely to depart, but there's always a chance that Victor Moses is the one to make way as well. Either way, this surely isn't the last move we'll be seeing this summer.
Stay tuned...
