It's loan day for Chelsea, apparently. Hot on the heels of the Blues sending Andreas Christensen to Borussia Monchengladbach, the club has confirmed two more departures. It's not difficult to guess the destination (especially if you, uh, read the headline or something) -- Nathan and Izzy Brown are heading to the Eredivisie to link up with Vitesse Arnhem.
That brings the total of Chelsea loanees at Vitesse to three, with Lewis Baker already committed to a year on loan in Arnhem, and all three are fairly exciting. We don't know a lot about Nathan (which makes him exciting in a mysterious sort of way), but Brown and Baker are two of our best youngsters, and it's hardly out of the question that they make big breakthroughs in the Netherlands. It was fun watching Bertrand Traore do his thing at Vitesse last year, but even though losing the Burkinabe is a big loss to Peter Bosz and company, the trio we're sending his way should be very useful for next year.
