On Friday, Brentford FC announced the signing of Josh McEachran. The former Chelsea midfielder passed his medical, and made the move official by putting pen to paper on a new four-year contract. Neither Brentford or Chelsea have confirmed the transfer fee, or any other details of the agreement.

Josh was once one of the most promising members of the academy, and was the last member of the 2010 FA Youth Cup winning side that remained at the club. His first team debut came in September of 2010 ain the UEFA Champions League, and went so well that it prompted on of the members of the masthead to decide that he wanted a McEachran shirt.

Unfortunately for Chelsea fans, McEachran's development seemed to stall a bit over the next several years as he was loaned to various clubs around England and Vitesse Arnhem. With any luck, he'll settle quickly with Brentford, and make a nice career for himself.
