Chelsea do not want Petr Cech to go to Arsenal, and while as yet they haven't outright blocked a deal -- to do so would mean going back on a promise not to interfere with the long-serving Blues legend's destination, after all -- the club seems intent on being as annoying as possible to potential suitors for the goalkeeper.
Having been knocked back on a potential player swap, the papers (sourcing the Sun, so take that as you will) are claiming that Chelsea are lining up a £20 million bid for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. That'd be exciting. Despite having seemingly been around forever, the midfielder is still only 21, and he's already shown the versatility to play on the wings, the centre and goalkeeper*.
*Perhaps he'll come in as Courtois' backup?
There are injury concerns, yes, but Oxlade-Chamberlain young enough and good enough to be one of Arsenal's premier assets, and I can't imagine he wouldn't have some interest in following Ashley Cole's footsteps across the capital in the hopes of competing at the highest level. And if nothing else, a bid would be a nice reminder to the Gunners as to where the real power lies in London right now.
