Middlesbrough narrowly missed out on being promoted to the Premier League, falling short at Wembley as Norwich City earned a return to England's top flight. They're reportedly getting to work on next year's suad early, however, and are close to adding a player that spent most of the season on the fringes of Jose Mourinho's first team squad.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Nathan Ake will be the latest Blues' youngster to join Aitor Karanka's side, following the loans of Patrick Bamford, Jamal Blackman, Kenneth Omeruo, and Tomas Kalas this past season. It's unlikely that Ake will be the only Chelsea player spending the season at Boro, either, as several other academy products will likely join him in Karanka's squad.
At the moment, both Mohamed Salah and Christian Atsu have sorted their temporary futures, with Salah remaining at FIorentina for a second season, while Atsu is going to spend the year at Bournemouth. Hopefully, Chelsea will keep getting these moves sorted early, to give their youngsters as much time as possible to settle.
