I'm too bouncy to transcribe interviews right now -- a forgivable offence, I hope -- but one of the TV crews at Stamford Bridge has just managed to grab Petr Cech for a few quick words, and the goalkeeper was careful to stress that he hasn't decided where he'll be playing this season, or even whether or not he'll leave. He'll head off on holiday (as a Premier League champion for the fourth time) and think about it when he comes back.
For those who want to keep Petr around, which I assume is most of you, that's obviously better news than 'I'm definitely going'. But don't get your hopes up too high, because the interview definitely had a touch of the goodbyes about it. Cech still thinks he's capable of being a first choice goalkeeper at the top level, and is completely open to 'new adventures', so I'd put the odds of him sticking around as very low. But there's still time for a miracle.
Asked when talks over Petr Cech's departure will begin, Mourinho says: "I hope never."
