There's a good chance that every big-name player this summer will be linked with Manchester United, since they're apparently ready to spend huge to challenge for the Premier League crown next season. At the same time they are also rumored to be losing a couple players, chief among them excellent goalkeeper David de Gea, who ever increasingly looks set for Real Madrid.
Replacing De Gea will be no easy task but one man who could be well up for it is Petr Cech. Cech has been most heavily linked with Arsenal so far, but that move looks less likely after both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho poured some cold water on it. So both the Mail and the Independent (and probably many others) have thrown a new name into the ring. United are supposedly also looking at Hugo Lloris.
Of course Mourinho's still hoping that Cech can be convinced to stay. Plus, the Chelsea manager was very much against losing Cech to Arsenal, and while he may be a bit more receptive towards letting the goalkeeper go to United (similar to how he was okay with Juan Mata going there as well), we'd probably still prefer if the soon-to-be 33-year-old ventured across the channel and onto the mainland if he's to go.
