The Paul Pogba transfer rumours have taken a decidedly familiar twist. Last summer, if you'll recall, Juventus were planning on picking up Ramires from Chelsea if we succeeded in nabbing the French midfielder. And during the winter, they had their sights on Oscar -- again as a replacement for Pogba. The logical next step was either to add Willian to the Brazilian midfielder collection or to fuse the two players together.

It turned out to be the latter. And so I give you an updated transfer rumour: Oscar and Ramires and money to Juventus for a certain 22-year-old, courtesy of our friends at the Telegraph*. Frankly, this seems more of a pastiche of old news rather than anything real, and it's important to remember that swap deals rarely happen in real life, but this is the sort of thing we're going to get for a while until either Pogba is indeed sold or we make it past the summer transfer deadline.

*They mention Atlético Madrid midfield Koke as a possible alternative to Pogba, which I think is also a recycled rumour.

With any luck we'll do so with our wits intact, but it looks like the rumour artillery will be particularly brutal this year.
