With the season winding down, silly season is fast approaching, and the March international break is often the unofficial start to the summer rumor fun. Today's rumor links us to Palermo forward Paulo Dybala again, and comes with fresh quotes from club president Mauro Zamparini:
'Dybala and Vazquez will probably be sold this summer. Will they go to Milan? No. They are being tracked by Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.'
While it makes sense that the Blues would be monitoring Dybala, as he's a quality young player that's already putting up terrific numbers in a less-than-terrific league*. That said, it's also very likely that Zamparini continues to mention the free spending clubs that he did because most of them print money, and that sort of thing could help milk those last few Euros out of financial minnows like Arsenal or Juventus.
*I know this quote could imply that Chelsea are also tracking Franco Vazquez, but that's just silly
I can't imagine that the Blues would actually pay anything close to the rumored fee for that particular, as I'm not certain he'd be a short-term upgrade from Loic Remy, and I can't imagine that the Blues would spend that sort of coin for a player to head out on loan. Then again, it's always possible that Michael Emenalo or Jose Mourinho rate Dybala very highly, and that this is more than a simple name-drop from Zamparini. I suppose I might have a reason to watch Palermo games now.
