English tabloid claims Chelsea have 'agreed in principle' for £18m Douglas Costa

With Chelsea down to just ten games remaining before their season comes to an end, it's time for the British tabloids to start churning out transfer stories to attract eyeballs. On Sunday, it's Douglas Costa's turn to shine.

The Sun report sits behind a paywall, which means any sane human being won't be able to read it. That's probably not a big deal, however, as everything the notoriously inaccurate paper actually had to say about an agreement* was written into the headline.

*While Rob Beasley has occasional  truthful nuggets concerning the Blues, he hasn't mentioned this report on his Twitter feed, nor is he the author

Costa is clearly itching for a move away from the Ukraine, and given the situation at the moment, it's not hard to believe the club will try to make that happen. That said, I'm not entirely convinced that Chelsea are as interested in Costa as his camp is in Chelsea, even if the Blues could probably do with a little more strengthening in their more advanced midfield positions.
