Ryan Bertrand has been impressing on loan at Southampton this year, and has been a more than adequate replacement in that side for Manchester United's Luke Shaw. On Monday, we're beginning to see rumors that Soton might want to make the signing a permanent one:
Hearing suggestions #SaintsFC may not be done. Ryan Bertrand's loan move from #CFC could become permanent.

It's widely believed that Southampton have an option in the loan agreement to make the deal permanent, assuming of course that they can come to an agreement with the player. For his part, Bertrand has said all the right things about his time with the Saints, and seems open to making a deal happen.
Presumably, then, there wont be any sort of last minute holdup if the club does reach an agreement with the player. Thankfully though, we'll always have fond memories of Ryan's work largely due to that one night in Munich.
