This is not exactly surprising, but is worth noting nevertheless: Wolfsburg's sporting director has confirmed the impending arrival of Chelsea winger André Schürrle:

Schürrle has been on the way out since a calamitous drop in form in early autumn, and with Chelsea sniffing around Juan Cuadrado and Douglas Costa his departure has seemed like a formality for more than a week. Barring something weird happening -- which isn't entirely out of the question given the health problems he's had this season -- the World Cup winner will be hooking up with former Blues teammate Kevin de Bruyne in short order.
Now we just need to learn how much money we pulled in for him. If it's the £23 million we've been asking for it sounds like the club has turned a tidy profit ...
