Amidst reports that Guus Hiddink has received direct orders from above to blood the youth more, fresh rumours regarding well-known transfer targets, Alex Teixeira and Jamie Vardy have emerged in the British media.
Apparently, Teixeira, who has scored 25 goals already this season, has 'verbally agreed' (have you ever wondered what they sound like?) to join Chelsea on a five-year deal, subject to a consensus between the two clubs on a fee. The striker is valued at around £30 million by his club, and these rumours contradict previous reports stating that Shakhtar Donetsk would sell only at the end of the season, so take it with an appropriate amount of salt.

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have been lighting up the Premier League this season, as is evident from Leicester's position in the League table and the customary links to 'bigger' (?) clubs refuse to die down as we approach the cusp of the transfer window. Apparently, the latest news is that Chelsea will battle it out with Manchester City for the 28-year-old striker, who is also valued in the region of £30 million.
