Chelsea's Andrej Kramaric deal hits a snag, according to reports

Another day, another development in the Andrej Kramaric transfer saga. Here's what Simon Jones of The Daily Mailhad for us on Monday:

Leicester are in discussions about taking Andrej Kramaric on a permanent deal after Chelsea failed to guarantee that the player would return to them at the end of the season. HNK Rijeka striker Kramaric wanted to sign for Chelsea and had agreed personal terms but did not want to spend his time on loan elsewhere next season.

Leicester are now exploring the possibility of offering extra bonus payments to entice Kramaric to them.

The player has traveled to London on Monday and is in discussions with both clubs. Chelsea had initially outlined an £8 million deal that would see the player loaned to Leicester for the rest of the season.

I suppose it's safe to read into it what you will, but all along, we've been hearing that the player preferred a move to a big club over a side like Leicester City. This sounds to me like an agent leaking details to the press in hopes of getting a larger offer, something Chelsea could certainly give him if they wanted. I can't imagine they'd guarantee the player a Stamford Bridge return though, before seeing what he can do against better competition.

Regardless, we'll probably have another update in the next few hours, now that the player is in London to conclude negotiations.
