Andre Schurrle's agent and Wolfsburg sporting director both confirm deal is close

On Friday, we heard confirmation from a pair of sources that Andre Schurrle's move to the island of misfit toys Wolfsburg is imminent. Both Wolfsburg personnel and Schurrle's people had updates for us.

First, we'll hear from Andre's agent, who is optimistic that a deal will be completed on Friday:

"I expect the deal to go through on Friday. There are still a few talking points, but we're no longer talking numbers. It's not a done deal just yet, though."

Meanwhile, Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs had the following update:

"The fact is that the signatures are still missing. Nothing has been signed as of yet, so I remain a bit cautious. We still have some hurdles to overcome. The ink on the contract is not dry just yet."

I think we'll all be somewhat sad to see the German depart, even if many of us believe that Juan Cuadrado is a better fit with the club. Have fun in Germany, Andre, and tell Kevin De Bruyne that we said hello.
