Cuadrado deal on the verge of completion

We're getting into Intense Rumour Time around the right wing position, and with the talk that André Schürrle is out and that Chelsea and Fiorentina are close to agreeing a deal for Juan Cuadrado, it seems that that will last until the transfer deadline on Monday. But the prospect of the window 'slamming shut' with a deal safely negotiated seems pretty likely at present.

Di Marzio reported on Wednesday that the Blues were prepared to meet Cuadrado's €35 million release clause (which I'd take to mean that they're agreeing a deal with Fiorentina for €35 million, for tax reasons); now they're saying that the player and club are very close on contract talks as well. If Fiorentina are letting the Colombian talk to Chelsea, they must feel like this deal's very close to completion on their end too.

The Mail are talking about the prospect of Cuadrado arriving at Stamford Bridge in time for Saturday's match against Manchester City, which seems like obvious nonsense to me, but the general sentiment seems right: Cuadrado is on the verge of a transfer.
