Today's hot sexy transfer news involves ... Ulises Davila. Well ok then. The Mexican midfielder, who's bounced about on loan since arriving at Chelsea in 2011, has been confirmed as a member of Vitória de Setúbal until the end of the season. Yes, it's another loan, but at least this one's to a top-flight team -- he's spent the last year and a half in the Spanish second tier.

No, Portugal's Primiera Liga is not exactly the pinnacle of the footballing world, but if Vitória want him, they must think he has the chance to get playing time, and that's probably an improvement over the ten league appearances he had with Tenerife in the first half of the season.

By this point I think we can be fairly confident that Davila's unlikely to ever be a major part of the first team -- he's 23 and yet to stick with a team for long, let alone a particularly good one -- but Chelsea at the very least owe it to him to find somewhere where he can slot in and stay for a while. Hopefully this is it.
