Chelsea already have one player on loan to Middlesbrough, with Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo set to spend the 2014/15 season with the Championship side. Reports in England suggest that a second Blues' youngster is about to join the club, with striker Patrick Bamford undergoing a medical ahead of a potential loan:
Chelsea's Patrick Bamford is undergoing his medical ahead of loan switch to Middlesbrough. Has been a long chase for Boro but worth it.

Bamford started last season with MK Dons, where he was possibly the best player in the division. He then took his talents to Derby County, where he experienced the second half of a high-pressure promotion push.
This ought to be an excellent experience as Bamford continues to develop, as he's likely to be a first choice player from the minute he arrives. Boro are a good enough squad that it's not hard to picture them in the middle of the promotion battle, though last season they really struggled at times to put the ball in the back of the net. Hopefully, that isn't an issue anymore.
