Hazard loan to Borussia Monchengladbach agreed

The forward will spend next season in the Bundesliga

Thorgan Hazard will be spending the 2014/15 season on loan, and we've now got some quotes letting us know the destination. Borussia Monchengladbach Sporting Director Max Eberl had the following to say to the German press on Thursday:

"We were always going to make an attacking signing, no matter what the situation is with Luuk de Jong and Peniel Mlapa, and this will be Thorgan Hazard."

"We have exchanged contracts with Chelsea and we have agreed with Thorgan, we have all agreed and now just need to sign the contracts."

This seems like an absolutely ideal situation for Hazard, as this is a huge step up from Zulte Waregem, while still being something the player should be able to handle. Should he look as good during this spell as he did during the past two, it's won't be hard to picture a Stamford Bridge future alongside big brother.

Regardless, if just a few signatures are all that's left to conclude this deal, I'd expect an official announcement in very short order. That would allow Hazard to spend his full preseason with the Bundesliga outfit, something that should go a long way toward helping the player settle. Best of luck Thor, we'll be watching.
