Demba Ba in Turkey to finalize Besiktas move

So Ba looks to be all but officially gone, leaving a freshly vacated number 19 shirt for new signing Diego Costa. I was really hoping the player was going to wind up with number 9, but 19 seems to be a fine second choice.

Ba's departure will free up a fair amount of wages, though money really shouldn't be an issue following the increased television and advertising revenue, as well as the sale of David Luiz. Still, making a slight profit on a player that was buried quite a ways down the depth chart is always nice, and given the professional manner in which he conducted himself at Chelsea, it's awfully nice that the player will be heading somewhere that he'll see regular minutes on the pitch.
