There have been rumors floating around that Turkish side Besiktas had deals in place to bring both Demba Ba and Marko Marin in from Chelsea on loan deals for the past several weeks. Today, the club denied that this was the case.
It's entirely possible that the Super Lig outfit had some interest in the pair, but not at Chelsea's asking price. It's also possible that these Marin and Ba rumors were simply the result of the tabloid's transfer dartboard, and that there was never any actual interest from the Turkish side. Regardless, it doesn't look like either will be heading to Besiktas during the summer window.
I'd have to guess the club's preference would be to see Marin leave on a permanent basis, if they can find a taker for the oft-injured hobbit. Ba will also be a bit on the difficult side to move, as he's on a higher wage than most clubs in Europe will be able to afford.
