Chelsea have opened discussions to bring Didier Drogba back, Fernando Torres wants to stay

We had some news several days ago about Jose Mourinho's desire to bring Didier Drogba back to Chelsea, and today The Daily Mail are reporting that we're discussing a reunion. Here's what they have to say:

Chelsea have opened discussions about bringing Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho wants to sign the 36-year-old as a second striker and will give him coaching responsibilities to develop his role at the club.

I've touched on it before, but I have to say it again. I'd be thrilled to have Drogba back with the club in any capacity, and at the moment I still feel like he's got plenty to offer in a substitute role. He's certainly at least as good an option as both Demba Ba and Fernando Torres in limited minute cameos, and his entrance into the game would elicit far less laughter than either of that pair.

Speaking of Torres, The Mail claim he wants to stay:

Mourinho wants an extra striker with the departure of Samuel Eto'o while Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku are expected to leave even if only on temporary deals. Fernando Torres is keen to stay despite interest from Inter Milan.

I don't think there are many Chelsea fans out there anymore that wouldn't rather see Torres move on. Please Fernando, if there's a club interested in actually having you wear their shirt on the pitch, do us all a favor and make it happen.
