Diego Costa has spent the final few weeks of the 2013/14 season dealing with a nagging hamstring injury, one which forced him to become the earliest sub in Champions League final history this past weekend in Lisbon. With the World Cup in Brazil less than a month away now, that injury is putting the striker's participation in doubt.
The striker is currently undergoing tests in Madrid, to determine the severity of his injury. Spanish national team coach Vincente del Bosque doesn't want to take injured players to Brazil, and won't be using the forward in Spain's friendly against Bolivia ahead of the tournament.
Regardless of the injury, Chelsea will likely continue to be interested in the player to spearhead their attack next season until he either signs a new deal with Atletico, or moves away from the Champions League finalists. It would be nice to see him treated with kids gloves this summer anyway.
