The Mirror are reporting that Liverpool have interest in signing Ashley Cole at the end of the season. By now we're all well aware that the defender is out of contract at season's end, and that he's no longer seeing regular starts at Chelsea. He's also a good enough player to start at all but a handful of Premier League clubs, so considerable interest would be logical.
Liverpool almost certainly have interest in Ashley Cole, and are certainly not alone in that regard. Chelsea have got a price (and duration) they aren't willing to go beyond, and if another club determines that they're willing to better Chelsea's offer, there's a good chance he won't be back with the Blues.
Chelsea fans should just get used to the left back being linked with other Premier League clubs, as until Cole puts pen to paper on a new deal, he'll be an easy thing to write about when there isn't much other news. He's a lot like Thibaut Courtois in that regard.
