Mario Pasalic confirms Chelsea deal is complete

The player will return to Hajduk Split for the remainder of the season, before making the move to Chelsea

Mario Pasalic spoke with reporters when he returned from London, and seems to have confirmed that a deal with Chelsea has been completed. His comments were kept short, but here's what he had to say:

I'm glad the move is successfully completed, Monday I go back to training and for the next six months I will be focused exclusively on Hajduk . There is nothing else I can say at the moment.

The player's representative had a bit more to add, confirming that the player was keen to remain with his current club for the remainder of the season, in hopes of making the trip to Brazil:

We are satisfied with the job done at Mario's insistence to stay in Hajduk up to seven months, after which they will join Chelsea training. In London. We enjoyed the trip, we stayed in a training camp with their technical director Michael Emenalo and worked very quickly to complete the deal.

I have no idea when we will see this move officially announced, but I'll take these comments as a clear indicator that Pasalic will be joining Chelsea this summer. He'll likely have several loan spells before he spends any time in London, and hopefully those will give us a better idea of what he's all about.
