Manchester United confirm Juan Mata agreement

So long, and thanks for all the fish

Scott Heavey

Manchester United have confirmed that they've reached an agreement for Chelsea's Juan Mata, and announced that it involves a club record fee.

The specifics of the agreement have not yet been disclosed, but now all that stands int he way of this deal being finalized is a medical and a bit of paperwork. We're all sad to see Mata go, but life at Stamford Bridge will go on. How David Moyes uses the Spaniard will be more than a little interesting to watch, marking the first time during the David Moyes era that one could say that about United without laughing.

Best of luck in Manchester Juan, and nick a few points off our rivals.
