Don't worry Nathaniel Chalobah, Gianfranco Zola still loves you

After reports began to circulate that Palace might not be interested after all, The Daily Mail reminded us that he'd be welcomed back at Watford

Crystal Palace have been in and out on Nathaniel Chalobah, according to who you want to believe. There's little doubt that his previous loan club would be interested in having him back though, with The Daily Mail reporting the following:

Watford have joined the race for Chelsea prospect Nathaniel Chalobah and hope to persuade him to spend next season at Vicarage Road on loan.

Crystal Palace are also interested in the 18-year old England under-21 midfielder, who signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea last week. But Chalobah spent last season on loan and Watford, and Gianfranco Zola is doing his utmost to talk him into a repeat stay ahead of tonight’s deadline.

If Chalobah isn't going to spend the season on loan in the Premier League, I'd be extremely disappointed if he didn't end up back at Watford. I could go through a whole list of reasons why the move makes sense, but all I really have to say is 'Zola'.

I'm still holding out hope that we'll hear about a top flight club taking the young midfielder in the next several hours. If it doesn't happen though, it's good to know that Gianfranco Zola still loves him.
