There are less than 24 hours to go until the transfer window closes. Thus far, Chelsea have added the following players (and manager) since the end of last season:
- Jose Mourinho
- Christian Atsu
- Samuel Eto'o
- Willian
- Stipe Perica
- Izzy Brown
- Mark Schwarzer
- Marco van Ginkel
- Andre Schurrle
- Michael Essien (return from exile)
In addition to those players, Romelu Lukaku, Tomas Kalas, and Kevin De Bruyne have been promoted to the first team, Nathaniel Chalobah signed a shiny new five-year deal, Cristian Cuevas and Wallace both joined up with the club before heading away on loan, and Bertrand Traore looks set to sign his first professional deal when he turns 18 in a week.
The club has had a few departures as well, with the following first team players (and interim manager) leaving the club:
- Rafa Benitez
- Marko Marin (loan)
- Jeffrey Bruma (buyback option)
- Oriol Romeu (loan)
- Victor Moses (loan not yet made official)
- Florent Malouda
- Yossi Benayoun
- Ross Turnbull
- Paulo Ferreira
While we're considering a Moses move to be all but official at this point, there's still a good possibility that one of Demba Ba or Fernando Torres find a new home at some point tomorrow. As Ba is on a reasonable wage, he seems the far more likely to go.
I'm pretty happy with the summer on the whole, but wanted to see where everyone else here stands with just hours left to go. If 11 pm London time comes around without any further moves, will you consider the summer a success? Vote in the poll and discuss away.
