The rumors have been around for the past several years that Barcelona would be interested in adding David Luiz to their squad, but this morning we're hearing reliable news of an actual bid for the first time that I can remember.
We're told that Barcelona make formal offer to Chelsea for David Luiz. Expected to be rejected. #cfc

The interest from Barcelona makes sense, as the Brazilian would walk into their first team and instantly fill their biggest hole. There's also very little reason to think that this bid is going to go anywhere beyond this, as Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he's a fan of David Luiz, and the market for top quality center backs is basically non-existent.
Luiz won't be playing this evening, but this probably isn't anything to get worked up over. I'd imagine we'll hear Jose Mourinho confirm that the defender is going nowhere at some point in the next 24 hours, regardless of what amount Barca bid.
