We're still awaiting confirmation from either club on a Samuel Eto'o deal, but some reporters are claiming that everything is now in place and the player will be joining Chelsea. It looks as if Gianluca Di Marzio was the first to tweet that things were finished, here's what he had:
Eto'o has just signed a 1 year contract with @chelseafc #samuelbacktoMou

If this is correct, I'd expect confirmation from the club shortly. Jose Mourinho passed on the opportunity to confirm anything during his pre-match press conference, but that's hardly something I'd take much away from.
Eto'o will not be involved in the UEFA Super CUp tomorrow, but with an international break coming up after tomorrow's fixture, I'd have to think there's a good chance he features when Premier League action resumes in just over two weeks. So long Wayne Rooney, hello Samuel Eto'o.
