There was another update on Christian Benteke today, and they confirmed what we've been hearing for the past day or so. Christian Benteke seemingly wants a transfer to a bigger club where he'd be first choice, and he doesn't believe he'd be so at Chelsea:
Christian #Benteke only wants to join Spurs. Liverpool made an enquiry, but he told them he wasn't interested. #LFC #AVFC #CFC

Christian Benteke also isn't keen on joining #CFC, as the player thinks he's not ready for Chelsea and fears he won't be first choice. #AVFC

This backs up the view that most of us have had from the start, that regardless of Chelsea potentially having interest in the player (and I'm still not convinced that they actually do), the transfer isn't one that makes a whole lot of sense for Benteke. If Chelsea managed to offload Demba Ba and Fernando Torres to create guaranteed minutes for the Belgian, I'm sure he'd be a little more willing to join. I can't see that happening though, so I'd assume this one is more or less a non-story.
