Andre Schurrle's agent believes a deal with Chelsea is coming in the next few days

This rumor doesn't seem to want to reach it's conclusion, does it? I'm getting the feeling we'll still be talking about Schurrle on deadline day.

Reports have been circulating all day that a deal between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen for Andre Schurrle is almost dead, but the German media has come up with some quotes from Schurrle's agent which would seemingly point to the contrary. Here's what they are attributing to Ingo Haspel:

"In the coming days I expect that everything is in systems and finally the agreement between the parties will be concluded. "

I have no idea whether these quotes are real or not, but according to transfermarkt, they've at least correctly identified the player's agent. Now that we know that Kevin De Bruyne will not be part of this deal in any way, the idea of signing Schurrle is a lot more appealing to me. I'd be more than happy to see this deal done and dusted, as well as the seemingly imminent signing of Marco van Ginkel.

With the amount of loanees and the talent we're being linked to, I'm actually very excited to have a lengthier pre-season than usual. It's amazing how much more fun this is with a manager we all like at the helm than things were from December to May.
